OPINION — Democrats recently handed the election for the constable in our district to a Republican, because he was far more qualified than his opponent. Fountain Hills Democrats will support a Republican for town mayor because she is more qualified. Fountain Hills Democrats are also supporting two Independent candidates, along with the Democratic candidate, because they are more qualified.
Democrats don’t just vote for anyone who has a “D” next to their name, we like to check them out and weigh the options.
After experiencing four years of ROT’s negative influence on the council and town, Democrats are looking for council members who will return to sensible governing, without the drama and political posturing. The childish behavior has already begun in the Republican circles for this election cycle.
