Fountain Hills Unified School District voters will decide Nov. 3 whether to continue the district’s Maintenance and Operations override, which provides about $1.2 million a year for the district’s operating budget.
An M&O override is a voter-approved funding mechanism that allows school districts to collect additional local property tax revenue for ongoing operating expenses, including teacher and staff salaries, classroom instruction, student programs and transportation.
The ballot question would continue FHUSD’s existing 15% M&O override for another seven years.
