SOTH ladies visit FVV
Ladies from Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church enjoying lunch and good fellowship.
Posted
Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church women and their friends were recently invited to Fountain View Village for a “Welcome to Our Village” luncheon.
Fountain View Village Sales Coordinator Kim Woda, and Resident Program Director Teri Larson welcomed the women.
They informed the group about the facilities at Fountain View Village. Each guest was invited to return for an individual tour of the facility.
The reception was outstanding and the buffet was delicious.
Sarah Adams, SOTH member and an independent living resident at Fountain View, was chairperson of the event. She met with the FVV staff to plan the gathering.
This year, SOTH women’s group, Women in God’s Service (WinGS), decided to host a special activity for the church women and their friends during the summer months.
Each month the women gathered for lunch and good fellowship at a different venue. The first month they dined at FireRock Country Club. The other months they gathered at church members’ homes.
Each luncheon included a time for sharing a topic, such as a favorite vacation, a special prayer request, little known facts about each person, and a special blessing each participant experienced during the summer.
