Shred-a-thon is April 19 in Fountain Hills

Free event held at FHHS parking lot

Posted

The Fountain Hills Friends of the Library is sponsoring a free “shred-a-thon” Saturday, April 19.

A shredding truck from Cutter Document Destruction will be parked in the Fountain Hills High School parking lot from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. while a group of volunteers from the Friends of the Library as well as members of the FHHS Key Club will be there to assist with bags and boxes of shreddable material.

Those who have items to shred should enter the parking lot off of Hampstead Drive. There is a three-box/bag limit and only paper can be shredded (i.e.: bank statements, medical documents, legal documents and personal correspondence).

Newspapers, magazines, junk mail, hard-cover or hanging file folders, 3-ring binders, metal clips or plastics cannot be shredded.

The FHFL accepts donations, all of which provide the library and the community with summer and winter reading programs for children, teens and adults, library furnishings and technology, Front Porch Performances and Storyteller events, college scholarships and the Resale Book Shop.

FHFL welcomes new members, encouraging the community to visit fhfl.org to join.
