On September 20th, The Lord Called Ron to join Him in Heaven.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Janet, his six children; Debra (Dan), Kevin (Sherry), Tracey (Bob), Brain (Donna), Ken (Candi), Ron (Ann Marie), and Pam (Deceased), Many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Family Members and Dear friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in Death by his sister, Susan, and two brothers, Harold and Robert.
Ron was born on February 17, 1938 in Richmond Hill, NY. Upon completing college, he proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he became involved in the emerging field of computer technology. While stationed in Germany, he married his high school sweetheart, Pat. Together they welcomed three children into the world. Tragically, Pat passed away following an accident.
Sometime later, Ron met Dee, a lovely woman who also had three children. The two married and blended their families, eventually welcoming a child of their own.
Ron began building his career in the computer industry and in 1975, the family moved to Fountain Hills, Arizona, where his business flourished.
Ron had a generous heart and a strong desire to serve others. He was always willing to give his time and talents to his community. He coached his son’s little league team and later continued his involvement in the sport as an umpire. He was also an active member of the Church of the Ascension, serving in several ministries throughout the years.
After retiring, Ron continued his tradition of service by volunteering weekly at the VA hospital.
He also developed a passion for flying. After earning his pilot’s license, he joined the Civil Air Patrol, where he participated in search and rescue missions, eventually rising to the rank of LT. Col.
Ron was an avid golfer for more than 20 years, during that time he was an active member of the Bogey Boys golf group and served as its president for many years. Through his many years of involvement, he formed lasting friendships and shared countless memorable days on the golf course.
Sadly, Ron lost his beloved Dee in 2021. He later found love again with Janet, who was by his side during the final chapter of his life.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th @ 11am at Church of the Ascension.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
