The River of Time Museum and Exploration Center is partnering with Arizona State University for a special educational workshop later this summer.
Open to ages 11-17, “Timequakes for Teens: A Participatory Workshop for Exploring Alternative Past & Possible Futures” will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on July 25 at the museum, 12901 N. La Montana Drive, according to the museum’s website.
The program, led by ASU Associate Professor Steven Zuiker, will invite participants to play with time and explore how communities, technologies and environmental systems may have developed differently, and how those possibilities could inspire action to shape desirable futures. Students will discover a historical scenario, identify the key community systems that contributed to it, and construct an alternative past by redesigning history.
