The Regional Public Transportation Authority, Valley Metro, is ending its daily express route service for Fountain Hills in late April.
The 515 route runs between the bus stop on La Montana Drive at the Cutillo Civic Plaza to the Valley Metro transfer location on Gilbert Road at the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway. The service runs to the Gilbert Road location in the morning and provides a return trip in the afternoon.
The service has operated for several years with minimal riders and efforts to boost ridership have been unsuccessful. The route is scheduled to discontinue as of April 28.
