Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office weekly update for Fountain Hills

Deputy responses for week of March 13 to March 19

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, March 13 through Wednesday, March 19.

Thursday, March 13

*Deputies stopped a motorist for criminal speed reportedly driving 77 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50 on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that two subjects used counterfeit currency to purchase items at a business.

*A resident of the 14000 block of Briarwood Drive reported that a subject stole tools from a vehicle that was parked at a residence.

*Deputies received a report from a citizen that a subject was harassing the victim via telephone.

Friday, March 14

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard and Arista Lane. A driver was stopped for criminal speed reportedly traveling 75 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to Burro Drive and Palomino Boulevard where it was reported that a driver struck a parked vehicle and fled the area without exchanging information or calling police. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that a subject shoplifted items from a business. The subject was contacted and issued a criminal citation then trespassed from the business.

Saturday, March 15

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Ocotillo Drive where it was reported that a subject suffering from dementia assaulted a family member. Deputies reported that the victim was attempting to prevent them from leaving in a vehicle during a dementia episode. The subject was transported to the hospital for treatment.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of La Montana Drive for a reported domestic violence assault incident. MCSO reports that the suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

*A resident of the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. reported that a subject damaged the victim’s vehicle by scratching the paint with a metal object.

Sunday, March 16

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that two subjects fled a restaurant without paying their bill.

Wednesday, March 19

*A resident of the 16000 block of Trevino Drive reported that an unknown subject removed multiple packages from the entryway of a residence without permission.

*Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Pulve Court where it was reported that a driver struck a wall on private property with a vehicle causing damage.

*Deputies responded to the 9000 block of Summer Hill Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject stole property that was inadvertently left in a hotel room after checking out.
