Holocaust Survivor to speak in Fountain Hills

‘No Greater Love Has He’ presentation is Feb. 6

Holocaust survivor and Author Dirk van Leenen will share his captivating life story of growing up during World War II, the invasion of Holland and how history is repeating itself.

His presentation, entitled “No Greater Love Has He,” will take place at the Fountain Hills Community Center Thursday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m.

Van Leenen will discuss his father’s involvement in the Nazi resistance and how he acted as a decoy during the great escape from the last train to Bergen-Belsen.

Van Leenen is the author of three books: “The Americans Are Coming,” “Resistance on a Bicycle” and “The Last Train to the Concentration Camp.”

Seating is limited and pre-registration is required.

This event is free for Community Center members and $5 for non-members.
