Fountain Hills Town Council hears annual report on public works projects

Director Justin Weldy recaps millions of dollars in work

Town of Fountain Hills Public Works Director Justin Weldy provided the town council with an update on annual work projects at the regular council session on Sept. 2.

Weldy talked about the completion of work as well as ongoing projects across the town. A major highlight was completion of a nearly $4 million sidewalk infill construction undertaken over the past two fiscal years. The work completed sidewalks along Saguaro Boulevard between Colony Drive and Fountain Hills Boulevard as well as construction along Palisades Boulevard between Saguaro and Fountain Hills boulevards.

That project was funded by a federal grant covering $3.5 million with the town paying the remaining $727,258.
