The president of Fountain Hills Sister Cities recently got a chance to visit Sister City Dierdorf while visiting family in Germany.
President Christine Colley was able to reconnect with Rosemarie Schneider, who was the mayor of Dierdorf when the Sister Cities partnership agreement was signed in 2005, according to a blog post by FHSC.
Colley also met with minister Marita Klose and extended her an invitation to host the Weihnachtsgottesdienst, (German Christmas Service) in December in Ahwatukee, where Christine serves as co-chair. She also reconnected with current mayor Ulrich Schreiber, who she originally met during 2005 when the agreement was signed.
