Fountain Hills Sheriff’s call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Oct. 10, through Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Thursday, Oct. 10

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Bittersweet Way where it was reported that an unknown subject used a rock to break a window out of the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in front of a residence

*Deputies responded to Parkview Avenue and Saguaro Boulevard where it was reported that a subject left a dog in a parked vehicle with the windows rolled up and no air conditioning. The dog’s owner was contacted and the dog was removed from the situation.

*A resident of the 10000 block of Saguaro Blvd. reported that an unknown subject accessed the victim’s bank account without permission and took approximately $15,000.

Friday, Oct. 11

*A resident of the 16000 block of Gunsight Drive reported that a firearm went missing from the complainant’s residence. It is unknown if the firearm was stolen or misplaced.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of La Montana Drive where it was reported that a subject urinated in an area visible to the public. The subject was issued a citation and trespassed from the property.

*Deputies responded to the 11000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that a subject who was contacted by deputies in reference to a mental health issue assaulted two fire department employees by punching and kicking them during a mental health evaluation. The subject was transported to a hospital for mental health treatment. Criminal charges were submitted to the county attorney.

*A resident of the 17000 block of Barnes Drive reported that unknown subjects made vague threats and vulgar statements about the complainant on social media.

Saturday, Oct. 12

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject shoplifted items from a business.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Glenbrook Blvd. where a domestic violence assault incident was reported. The aggressor was arrested and booked into jail.

Sunday, Oct. 13

*A resident of the 14000 block of Quartz Ct. reported that a subject was harassing the victim via telephone. The victim was not willing to aid in prosecution.

*A resident of the 14000 block of Bobwhite Way reported that an unknown subject attempted to enter the guest house of a residence by removing a screen and opening a window. The subject fled the area when the homeowner’s dogs were let into the area.

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Edgeworth Drive and contacted a subject in reference to a call for service. A records check revealed the subject had an outstanding felony warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.

Monday, Oct. 14

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains where a private property traffic collision occurred in the parking lot of an apartment complex after a vehicle failed to yield. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of El Pueblo Blvd. and contacted a subject in reference to a call for service. A records check revealed the subject had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into jail on the warrant. When searched incident to arrest, the subject was found to be in possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. Charges were submitted to the county attorney for the possession of illegal substances.

Tuesday, Oct. 15

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where a private property traffic collision occurred after a vehicle failed to yield and struck another vehicle in the parking lot of a business. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where a middle school student attempted to grab a deputy’s duty weapon while the deputy was on foot patrol at a school facility. The deputy thwarted the attempt. The student was removed from the school and turned over to parents. Criminal charges were referred to the county attorney.

Wednesday, Oct. 16

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that a subject created a disturbance and refused to leave a business after being asked to do so. The subject was trespassed from the business.
