The Town of Fountain Hills is inviting all families to Golden Eagle Park on Saturday, March 24, to participate in the annual spring Eggstravaganza.

The event will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. at Golden Eagle Park (15900 E. Golden Eagle Blvd.) and is open to children up to seven years of age, who must be accompanied by an adult.

Watch as hundreds of kids scramble to pick up over 15,000 eggs stuffed with candy and other prizes. The baseball fields will be designated for the following age groups; Field #2, kids 7 and under with siblings; Field #3, kids 4-7; and Field #4, kids 0-3.

Don’t forget to bring a basket and look for the numbered eggs. Arrive early, as the “main event” starts promptly at 9 a.m. and tends to end quickly. Hoppy Bunny will serve as master of ceremonies and will be available for hugs and pictures throughout the event. Peeps the Chicken will join Hoppy Bunny again this year to hang out with kids and take photos.

The Town of Fountain Hills would like to egg-stend its appreciation to the event’s main sponsor, Joe and Carol Goyena with MCO Realty, Inc., for supporting this event for the 16th year.

Those interested can visit with the Fountain Hills Fire Department, which will have trucks to climb on and firefighters to show the kids their gear. K-Love Radio is the raffle prize sponsor and will be playing music.

No event would be complete without inflatable bouncers to play on, courtesy of McDowell Mountain Community Church, as well as other fun crafts and games by the Fountain Hills Library, First Baptist Church of Fountain Hills and Christ Church. Natalie McCasland will also be on hand to talk about skin cancer awareness. Kona Ice will be at the park this year selling shaved ice.
