Code: Red is Phoenix Rescue Mission’s summer heat relief campaign, and the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church is the collection point for Fountain Hills water donation drop-offs.
The church is collecting cases of bottled water during the months of June, July and August. Community members can bring cases of water to the church every Sunday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. or Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This water is distributed to homeless individuals and those who are in need across the Valley.
According to a press release, the church strives to help those less fortunate during these hot summer months.
If lugging around cases of water is a challenge, the church has set up a monetary donation portal where—during the month of June—a benefactor has committed to triple-matching every monetary donation up to $150,000.
That means every $1 donated will provide three times the life-saving water, “Hope Tote” hygiene kits, heat relief and care to neighbors in need.
