River of Time in Fountain Hills opens Construction Junction Kids Zone

Temporary exhibit open through Oct. 26

Budding construction engineers are invited to put their skills to work at the River of Time Museum & Exploration Center’s new temporary play space, Construction Junction.

The Zone is open free during regular museum hours, Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Children under the age of 12 are invited with one adult to put on a hard hat and explore the world of construction using a variety of materials including giant blocks, Lego and other manipulatives.

Construction Junction was the brainchild of longtime museum supporter Eunice Feinberg, according to a press release.

Feinberg suggested that the River of Time might want to create an exhibit that links the construction happening just outside its doors to an experience for children.

The temporary exhibit will be located in the art gallery in the reception area through Oct. 26.

The River of Time Museum & Exploration Center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out all of the fall happenings at riveroftime.center.
