Renaming Fountain Hills Community Center would garner negative attention

OPINION – As a 10-year full-time resident of Fountain Hills, I reject efforts to rename our community center to recognize Charlie Kirk.

To my knowledge, he has never lived in Fountain Hills since I’ve lived here and has never done anything for this community that would justify this recognition. I would argue that the rhetoric he spewed, which at times was borderline hateful, would bring negative attention to the town.

So, no on renaming the Community Center.
