Registration is now open for the Sonoran Conservancy of Fountain Hills November hiking challenge.
To start hiking season with cooler temperatures, the SCFH and the Town of Fountain Hills will hold a brief intro about the hikes and programs at 8 a.m. Nov. 2, before an easy 2-mile hike on the Lake Overlook Trail at 9 a.m.
Cookies and coffee will be served during the intro and water, a hat and shoes with good grip are recommended for the hike afterward. The SCFH is asking for residents to leave their furry companions at home.
