OPINION — In the Oct. 28 issue of the Times, there was a discussion about Sharia law and Shelby Blecker stated that there were parts of Sharia law that "scared him to death" and that he was not aware of any Jewish laws that said you can go out and kill someone if they don't convert.
If you Google "How many places does the bible say to kill someone," you find that there are over 100 places where God commands people to kill others. Offenses punishable by death include striking or cursing a father or mother, Sabbath-breaking, gay sex and marrying without being a virgin (No penalty for a guy that gets married without being a virgin).
There is also a passage where Moses is angry at his soldiers for sparing some people in a village after a battle and he commands his men to kill all the boys and all of the women who have had sex, but to save the young girls who are not virgins for themselves. Then, in more modern times, if you visit the Alamo in Texas, you find that the Christians there gave the Native Americans a choice to convert or be killed. Nice.
