The next meeting of the Republican Women of the Hills (RWOTH) will feature an interview with current Fountain Hills council member and mayoral candidate Gerry Friedel.
Joe Arpaio was invited to participate, but declined, according to RWOTH spokesperson Crystal Cavanaugh. Arpaio also is running for mayor in Fountain Hills.
The meeting is set for April 11 in the Christ Church Multipurpose Room located at 15555 E. Bainbridge in Fountain Hills, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Both men and women are welcome to become members of RWOTH or may attend as a guest with a $5 donation.
A moderator will ask questions about the direction, priorities and goals that Friedel considers important as mayor of Fountain Hills. He will also take questions from the audience.
In addition, conservative community activist Lezley Shepherd will speak to accountability and the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.
The following RWOTH meeting Thursday, May 9, will be held in the Christ Church Sanctuary when conservative Fountain Hills town council candidates will take part in a panel discussion. Sheriff Mark Lamb also will be in attendance to speak about his campaign for the U.S. Senate.
Participants should RSVP to rwoth.com.
RWOTH meets the second Thursday of each month. For additional information or questions, send an email to Republicanwomenofthehills@gmail.com.
