Fountain Hills to match Kiwanis donation toward beginner bike park

Up to $100,000

The Noon Kiwanis Club will receive a matching donation from the Town of Fountain Hills toward a beginner bike park after the council unanimously voted during its Jan. 20 meeting.

Kiwanis has raised $100,000 and counting, and asked the town for a $100,000 match for over $200,000 toward the park, Town Community Services Director Kevin Snipes said. He added that the town will cap its donation at $100,000, but “do what it can” to match Kiwanis if more is raised.

Snipes said the park, which will be located next to the existing skate park at Desert Vista Park, is a great way to celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary and all the bikes they have given away.
