The Fountain Hills Unified School District Governing Board discussed ways to attract more students and improve the district’s visibility during its Nov. 4 meeting, including whether to hire an outside company to help with enrollment efforts or handle the work internally.
The district has been exploring the possibility of using Caissa K12, an outside company that assists schools with enrollment and marketing, but concerns about sharing families’ personal information have prompted officials to consider whether similar efforts could be handled in-house.
Kim Garman, the district’s registrar, told board members that she already serves as a primary point of contact for families considering a move to FHUSD and often goes beyond the typical responsibilities of her position.
