Fountain Hills moving forward with sale of town parcels

Staff directed by town council

Five additional lots were approved for staff to proceed in the liquidation process, though no action on sales was taken. The lot along Aspen Drive was approved for future sale earlier this year.

As the town looks for ways to add funds toward growing infrastructure projects, the liquidation of additional town-owned parcels was discussed during the Oct. 6 meeting.

After five properties were identified, the council voted 6-1 to move forward with the process, which includes appraisal.

Councilman Allen Skillicorn was the dissenting vote.
