Three individuals are vying for two four-year seats on the Fountain Hills Unified School District governing board, including Kim Duckworth, Dr. Anne Evans and incumbent Dr. Richard Rutkowski.
Over the coming weeks, the Fountain Hills Times Independent is running a Q&A series, giving voters a chance to hear from these candidates. Bernie Hoenle was the only candidate to throw his hat into the ring for a third seat, this one for a two-year term, so that election has been cancelled and he will begin his term in 2025. He has agreed to take part in the Q&A, however, so his responses to all questions will run at the conclusion of this series.
As a reminder, the voter registration deadline is Monday, Oct. 7, and ballots will be mailed out on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The last day to request an early ballot is Friday, Oct. 25, and the last day to mail back ballots is Tuesday, Oct. 29.
