DeGeorge Partners Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty announces the launch of a new monthly workshop series entitled, “Retirements Next Steps.”
This educational initiative is designed to provide valuable resources for individuals entering or already in retirement coupled with essential real estate market updates and insightful tips on buying and selling properties, according to a press release from Realtor Jill Templeton-Haislip of DeGeorge Partners Realtors.
The “Retirements Next Steps” workshop series will feature industry experts each month, delivering essential information to empower attendees in their retirement journey, Templeton-Haislip said.
The inaugural workshop, scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 28, will feature Richelle Hopkins, a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) specialist with Mutual of Omaha.
Hopkins will delve into the intricacies of HECMs, purchasing options, reverse mortgages and other senior real estate solutions, Templeton-Haislip said.
Future workshops will cover a range of topics crucial to retirees with expert speakers in Medicare, 10-31 exchanges, long-term care, home care, remodeling with “aging-in-place” in mind, VA loans and estate planning, Templeton-Haislip said.
Future workshops will feature Karen DeGeorge, principal at DeGeorge Partners and realtor with 23 years of experience, and Jill Templeton-Haislip, a designated seniors real estate specialist with over 10 years of experience in the senior living industry.
DeGeorge holds certifications as an Accredited Buyer Representative and Short Sale and Relocation Resource and is recognized as a luxury home marketing specialist.
Templeton-Haislip says she will share her insights on assisting individuals with decisions related to downsizing, upsizing into multigenerational living, senior living options and embracing the full richness of retirement by incorporating the joy of a second home.
The event is held at the DeGeorge Partners office, 16872 E. Avenue of the Fountains, Suite 103, from 4 to 5 p.m.
