The Fountain Hills Theater is bringing back a smash hit.
The new Mel Brooks’ musical “Young Frankenstein” is a wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend based on his classic comedy masterpiece.
The story follows bright young Dr. Frankenstein (that’s Fronkensteen) as he attempts to complete his grandfather’s masterwork and bring a corpse to life.
Together with his oddly shaped and endearing helper Igor (that’s Eye-gor), his curvaceous lab assistant Inga, and in spite of his incredibly self-involved madcap fiancé Elizabeth, Frankenstein succeeds in creating a monster -- but not without scary and quite often hilarious complications.
The musical “Young Frankenstein” is produced by Patty Torrilhon and Patricia Tonzi, directed by Peter J. Hill and musically directed by Flora Mogerman.
The production stars Bill Bennett, Roy Hunt, Noel Irick, Matt Mcdonald, Darryl W. Poenisch, Roger Prenger, Morgan Ottersbach, Patrick Russo and Janine Smith.
The ensemble includes Nick Doonan, Dan Fecteau, Lizz Reeves Fidler, Alan Isaacson, Susie Lundy, Kendra Lytle, Sara Matin, Stephani Mcdonald, Lew Myers, Manny Quijada, Tanya Schoenwolf, Jessica Shepler, Asher Sheppard, Tom Vinopal and Eric Williams.
