You decide: A Christmas tree decorated with patriotic red, white and blue recognizing America's incoming 47th president, or a Christmas wreath with a mask that appears to this writer to be the severed head of Donald Trump?
The tree was submitted by the Fountain Hills Republican Club and the wreath done by the Fountain Hills Democratic Club. The Community Center's display of holiday trees and wreaths is an annual event, the trees decorated by Fountain Hills clubs and organizations reflecting the mission of, or reason for the club or organization to exist. For example, the Car Club decorates their tree with cars.
In this case the Republican Club chose to decorate their tree with ornaments and ribbons topped by a big American flag, with small flags that say "TRUMP" recognizing the Republican who was elected U.S. president on Nov. 5. Democrats objected and wanted the tree taken down. After three hours the Trump “head” was removed.
