In response to a call to tone down political rhetoric in Fountain Hills

I had to laugh at the latest opinion submission (7/30/25) by Nancy Plencner in the Fountain Hills Times Independent saying, “Political rhetoric has been heating up in Fountain Hills,” “…nonstop anger and rage… specifically aimed at those elected to the council and as mayor,” “it's prolific…in the letters to the editor,” “public servants have been sued, slandered, their character assassinated and even worse.”

But does that fit her implied directive for all of us to “…take personal responsibility to tone down the rhetoric. Remind fellow citizens there are options to expressing concerns?”

The message seems to be, do what she says, not what she does. Of her seven letters this year, on May 6 she attacked Governor Hobbs, on April 1 Councilwoman Kalivianakis, and on March 5 she had radical Dems lying to their constituents while Republicans only support policies to make America great. In fairness, that was before the big beautiful bill they held their noses to approve. On Feb. 25 she stated we need our own Elon Musk!
