Fountain Hills Thanksgiving Day Parade celebrates 40 years

Celebrating 40 years, the Fountain Hills Thanksgiving Day Parade is planned for Thursday, Nov. 28, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. along the Avenue of the Fountains.

Hosted by the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce, the 2024 Parade theme celebrates the “Best of 1984,” in honor of the first Thanksgiving Day Parade 40 years ago.

Paradegoers can share in the joy of seeing floats decorated to reflect everyone’s favorite memories from 1984.

The Fountain Hills Thanksgiving Day Parade has become a local hometown favorite that draws spectators from across the state who want to ring in Thanksgiving Day with a classic parade, according to a press release.

Local businesses, veteran groups, classic car clubs, service organizations and others plan to participate this year. The Avenue will be filled with floats, marching bands, animal groups, dance routines, motorcycle shows and more.

As the event finale, Santa Claus will arrive for the first time this holiday season at the Thanksgiving Day Parade.
