The Presby Pickin’s Flea Market wrapped up its third and most successful season yet, generating nearly $23,000 in just five markets, according to a press release.
More than a shopping destination, Presby Pickin’s has become a dynamic hub for community connection, creativity and compassionate giving.
Of the funds raised, $15,000 has already been donated to support a wide range of causes, including Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church (FHPC) ministries, local organizations, youth initiatives and relief for communities impacted by disasters across the country.
Proceeds directly supported campus beautification projects, fellowship events and outreach initiatives within FHPC.
Contributions also benefited local non-profits such as the Extended Hands Food Bank, the Dark Sky Festival and numerous youth groups such as programs at the Fountain Hills High School and Middle School, Golden Eagle Education Fund and Foster Your Future.
In addition, Presby Pickin’s extended its impact beyond Arizona, providing support for hurricane victims in North Carolina and those affected by wildfires in California.
“What makes Presby Pickin’s special isn’t just the dollars raised—it’s the spirit behind it,” said co-chair, Shawn Uphoff. “Every market is powered by volunteers, vendors, donors, and shoppers who care about making a difference. It’s about joy, connection and generosity.”
Co-Chair Kathy Cole added, “This market has become more than we ever imagined—each month, we see relationships build, local causes lifted up and our community coming together with real purpose. It’s humbling and inspiring to be part of something so positive.”
The flea market featured over 45 vendors each month, offering a wide range of antiques, handmade crafts, vintage finds and specialty goods.
Shoppers also enjoyed live music, food trucks—including community favorites Fountain Hills Food Cart and Lumpia Queen of AZ—and the market’s beloved mascot, PresBee Picker.
The market will return in November 2025, continuing its tradition of bringing people together for a good time—and a good cause.
