Fountain Hills passes final 5G draft

Revised changes from previous meeting

The Fountain Hills Town Council took what is likely the final step in its 5G telecommunications ordinance during its Oct. 20 meeting by amending and approving its final draft.

Ordinances for wire telecommunications and small cell facilities and antennas were passed during the Oct. 6 meeting, but suggestions and additional clarifying points were made.

After discussion with concerns by Councilmembers Peggy McMahon and Brenda Kalivianakis, a motion to table the final draft for further review with additional comments from resident Lori Troller failed by 5-2 vote, with a subsequent motion to approve passing by 5-2 vote.
