The 25th annual “Gathering of the Pai” will be held April 11-12, at the Fort McDowell Recreation Center.
This special event is open to the public and includes cultural demonstrations, a Pai Woman Ceremony, traditional foods and vendors, songs, dance and prayer.
The event begins Friday, April 11, from 3 to 7 p.m. and continues Saturday, April 12, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The 25th annual “Gathering of the Pai” will be held April 11-12, at the Fort McDowell Recreation Center.
This special event is open to the public and includes cultural demonstrations, a Pai Woman Ceremony, traditional foods and vendors, songs, dance and prayer.
The event begins Friday, April 11, from 3 to 7 p.m. and continues Saturday, April 12, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Hosted by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, the Gathering of the Pai is a celebration of five Arizona tribes, including the Havasupai Tribe in Coconino County, the Yavapai-Apache Nation in Verde Valley, the Yavapai Prescott Indian Tribe in Yavapai County, the Hualapai Indian Tribe in Peach Springs and the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation in Maricopa County.
The event started in 1999 and was first hosted by the Yavapai-Apache Nation. Last year, the Gathering of the Pai was hosted by the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe.
According to a press release, this is a drug- and alcohol-free event. The Fort McDowell Recreation Center is located at 16402 N. Fort McDowell Road. For more information, contact Roann Preston at 480-789-7162.
