Fountain Hills Flutter weekend results in $50,000 grant pool

Nonprofit organizations benefited from FHCF signature event

Posted

Nonprofit organizations in the Fountain Hills area will benefit from grants from the Fountain Hills Community Foundation (FHCF), thanks to another successful Flutter at the Fountain fundraising event.

Proceeds from the auction of 33  butterflies and 10 jackrabbit art sculptures during the March 21-23 weekend were added to other funds received throughout the year, creating a $50,000 grant pool for the FHCF to award to nonprofit organizations later this year, according to a press release.

“The venue and weather were amazing,” FHCF President Dori Wittrig said. “We are very grateful for all of the artists, volunteers, and donors who came together to make our fifth annual event so successful.”

Shawn Uphoff was named the 2025 Hometown Hero for her contributions to the Presbyterian Church, Fountain Hills PTO and the Fountain Hills Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition during the Donor and Sponsor Luncheon.

Uphoff named the McKee Branch of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale as the recipient of a $2,500 grant from Flutter proceeds.
