It took a few months, but the Fountain Hills Unified School District might have a buyer for some of the land it’s selling — maybe.
The board unanimously decided, after an executive session at its May 7 meeting, to enter into negotiations with a potential buyer for two parcels it owns. The start of the advertising and sale process was approved by voters in the November 2024 elections by about a 69%-to-31% margin.
Superintendent Dr. Cain Jagodzinski said he’s pleased the process is happening after voters agreed, last November, to back the sale.
