Chamber Players perform Sunday

Two programs remain on the Fountain Hills Chamber Players schedule for this season.

The final series concert will take place at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Sunday, March 16, at 3 p.m.

The program of duos features various combinations of flute, violin, oboe, cello, bassoon and piano.

Composers J.S. Bach, Johan Halvorsen, Josef Haydn, Heitor Villa Lobos and Alberto Ginastera will take music lovers on a trip around the world and through music history with something to please everyone.

Performers include Edith Roberts, violin, and Lois McElligott, piano; Daga Suchon, violin, and Mark Engelsman, cello; Jenna Daum, flute, and Joseph Kluesener, bassoon; and Daum pairing up with Tiffany Pan, oboe.

Admission is $15. The audience is invited to mingle with the performers at a reception in the church lobby following the program.

The church is located at 16150 E. El Lago Boulevard.

On Saturday evening, March 22, at 6 p.m. the FHCP will present a program at Taliesin West.

This concert of music for a variety of instrumental combinations includes two trios and a sextet.

Again the group has chosen works representing different eras, styles, and countries. Performers are Jenna Daum, flute; Ben Holskin, clarinet; Sarah Schreffler, violin; Patricia Cosand, viola; Mark Engelsman, cello; and Alice Brovan, piano.

Following the concert there will be a wine reception, hosted by Lawrence Dunham Vineyards. Tickets, which include the concert and reception, are $25. Taliesin West is located at 12345 Frank Lloyd Wright Drive in Scottsdale.
