Falcons welcome new athletic trainer

Posted

Should any Fountain Hills High School athlete get injured this year, Braelynn Hoffman will be there to care for them. Hoffman is the new certified athletic trainer for the Falcons.

Hoffman is originally from Portland, Ore. She received her bachelor’s from Oregon State University and her master’s from Grand View University. She’s been at the first three football games this season, and Hoffman said she is excited for the rest of the year.

“I played sports in high school, and I was constantly injured myself, so I hung out with my athletic trainer a lot,” Hoffman said. “I think being an athlete, there’s a mental tole especially when you’re injured. It affects athletes in different ways, and that’s how I can help athletes now and I enjoy it every day. I mean, I get to go to football for work.”
