Fountain Hills: Sheriff's call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, April 18, through Wednesday, April 24.

Thursday, April 18

*Deputies stopped a motorist on Shea Boulevard at 142nd St. for criminal speed traveling 72 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. A records check revealed there was an outstanding warrant for the driver. The driver was issued a criminal citation and booked into jail on the warrant.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. The driver was stopped traveling 93 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50 and was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies stopped a motorist on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane for traveling 61 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on McDowell Mountain Road at Mile Post 1 for a driver who was traveling 81 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*A resident of the 15000 block of Sierra Madre Blvd. reported that an unknown subject took multiple political campaign signs from the victim’s property.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Almont Drive for a call for service. Upon arrival a records check of a subject was conducted that revealed the subject had an outstanding warrant. The subject was booked into jail on the warrant.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of La Montana Drive where a subject who had been previously trespassed from a commercial property was found to be on the property again. The subject was booked into jail for trespassing and an outstanding warrant that was found after deputies conducted a records check.

Friday, April 19

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Shea Blvd. where a private property traffic collision occurred after a vehicle backed into another vehicle while attempting to leave a parking place in a business parking lot.

Saturday, April 20

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Boulder Drive where it was reported that a subject made threatening statements to their spouse.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Fountain Hills Boulevard and Keith McMahan Drive. The driver was stopped for displaying a license plate that was suspended for a mandatory insurance violation. A check of records revealed that the driver was operating the vehicle without an ignition interlock device as required. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject took metal signage from a commercial property.

Monday, April 22

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard at Palmer Way. The motorist was stopped for speeding, traveling 54 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. A check of records revealed the driver was driving on a suspended license. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to Manzanita Lane and Sunridge Drive where a reported hit and run collision occurred after a vehicle struck a parked vehicle and fled the area.

*A resident of the 15000 block of Sierra Madre Blvd. reported that an unknown subject took multiple political yard signs from a residence.

Tuesday, April 23

*Deputies responded to Saguaro Boulevard and Colony Drive for a traffic collision when a driver failed to yield and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported no vehicles were towed from the scene.

*A resident of the 12000 block of Mimosa Drive reported that an unknown subject attempted to obtain the complainants’ personal information through a scam.
