The Fountain Hills quilting group, Quilts & More, has completed two large quilts to be donated to Quilts for a Cause, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Tucson.

Quilts for a Cause has raised close to $1 million dollars for breast cancer screening and treatment for underprivileged and underinsured women in Arizona, primarily in the Tucson area. This organization donates 95 percent of its proceeds to Arizona organizations in support of research, training and assistance for women in need.

The two quilts from Quilts & More will not only be auctioned off this year to raise money for this organization, but they will also be entered in the Arizona Quilters Guild Show in Mesa. After the show, the executive board members for Quilts for a Cause will come to the Fountain Hills Community Center on Thursday, March 28, at 1 p.m. to pick up the quilts.
