Judge orders release of documents in terrorism case

The Maricopa County Superior Court judge handling the case ruled Tuesday that sealed court records in the case of alleged terrorism against Ismail Hamad must be released.
Hamad, a Fountain Hills resident, was arrested Jan. 7, after he was shot and injured by a deputy following an alleged confrontation outside the MCSO substation at Town Hall.
Media sued for access to the sealed records that included a probable cause statement, 911 audio recordings and video of the incident. Hamad was charged with two counts of terrorism after initially being charged with aggravated assault on the deputy.
