Flash flood watch in effect for FH, area
Posted
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for much of northern Maricopa County and the Phoenix area including Fountain Hills. The watch is in effect from late Wednesday through Friday morning.
The watch is in effect due to the potential for excessive rainfall and runoff from an approaching Pacific storm. Up to three inches of rain may be possible in the Fountain Hills area due to the storm.
People are advised to avoid flooded washes and obey warning signs. Be aware of possible upgrade of the watch to a flash flood warning over the course of the storm.
