The Fountain Hills Democratic Club will hold its first happy hour of the summer this week.
The event takes place Thursday, June 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at HD Asian Bistro, 16740 E. Palisades Blvd.
The drink menu will include wine and beer prices at $2 each and an assortment of appetizers.
While no formal program is planned for this event, other than the mandate for good fellowship and conversation, there may be surprise visitors who will be given the opportunity to speak briefly.
All are welcome to the happy hour event. Those who have not attended events previously will be especially acknowledged. Current members who have contributed to the success of the club will also be acknowledged.
While the Democratic Club does not hold formal meetings in the summer, there are additional happy hours scheduled for July 11 and August 8. Venues will be announced later.
The Democratic Club will resume its regular meetings Thursday, Sept. 12, and plans to host a debate between the three announced candidates for Congress.
