The Showcase theme for 2025 is “Friendship: The Heartbeat of Global Peace.” The theme highlights the power of friendship to foster understanding, collaboration, and peace across borders.

“This contest is open to artists, writers, photographers, and musicians to provide a unique platform to explore how global friendships can drive positive change and bridge cultural divides,” YAAS chair Laurie Fagen stated in the release. “We are looking for students from across Chandler whether in public, charter, homeschool or other educational and art settings to take part.”

Submissions will be accepted in various mediums, including visual art, essays, poetry, and music. More information is available by clicking here.

Entries can be emailed to yaas.chandlerirish@gmail.com.

The CTSC, now in its 15th year, represents the “twinning” between Chandler, Arizona and Tullamore, Ireland.

CTSC, part of the nonprofit Chandler Sister Cities, received a proclamation from the city of Chandler in 2009, with a goal of cultivating and maintaining a strong reciprocal relationship between the cities of Chandler and Tullamore, Ireland, and to encourage cultural understanding, community involvement and economic development.
