Daughters of the American Revolution Four Peaks Chapter of Fountain Hills will hold its monthly meeting at the Lexington on Saturday, April 12.

The featured speaker is Janet Rae Humphrey, RYT. She will demonstrate how yoga is used for stability to improve strength, endurance, flexibility and balance, all the while promoting mindfulness and focused awareness.

Yoga is a safe and therapeutic form of exercise specifically designed to help adults of all ages.

Humphrey’s greatest pleasure is watching her students improve mobility, endurance, self-image and peace of mind. Her training in Hatha Yoga, anatomy, yoga therapy, as well as her 20 years of experience in medical research, leads students to a more active and fulfilling life.

Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR.

She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage and death, as well as of the Revolutionary War service of her patriot ancestor.

Contact the chapter’s website at www.Fourpeaksdar.com or Registrar Candy Schadle at 480-836-0442 or Regent Melda Yonke at 480-816-3966.

For Saturday’s luncheon reservation and yoga demonstration, contact Joan Jordan 480-816-9684.
