Although I was not able to come to the mayoral debate, I watched the online version. Cecil Yates was well prepared and gave an educated response to every single question asked. Cecil is a conservative with a strong economic background that will help move Fountain Hills forward.

On top of his well-documented skills and creative talents, Cecil is an individual that is inclusive and who will listen to all residents and their ideas. He is a man of character, optimism, class and compassion.

Last month, nearly 70 percent of Fountain Hills residents overwhelmingly voted to reject the primary property tax. Although Cecil initially supported the tax, he has heard the residents loud and clear and is ready to work on other creative ways to develop alternative revenue streams for the town.

There are many creative ways to bringing revenue into our town outside of taxing our hardworking residents and retirees. Cecil’s economic background will enable him to do just that. We need more business activity in our town – unique boutique-style businesses like Brokers Alliance, Grapeables or Copperwynd – not more burdensome taxation! Cecil has many great ideas and knows exactly how to get things done.
