Linda Kavanagh has made our town more polarized and less sustainable for the future.
Kavanagh’s claim, that she wants to maintain low taxes, is in direct conflict with our town’s own financial department, which projects a $5.9 million dollar shortfall in the near future!
How does she maintain infrastructure with insufficient funds? Her fantasy of economic development is not proven by the numbers; there is a serious shortfall of sales taxes in her dream.

Linda Kavanagh has made our town more polarized and less sustainable for the future.

Kavanagh’s record shows that she has sold out to corporations and development. This is clear by her support of the town-center development plan, which will turn into a wasteland shortly after it is completed due to insufficient parking and lack of demand at the retail establishments. The town needs a younger population and yet we are building more senior facilities.
Kavanagh’s claim that she wants limited government apparently does not apply to her own authoritarian style of brow-beating. Her style divides, rather than leads. She doesn’t practice team-building, but rather acts alone with tunnel-vision and short-sightedness. Gee, who might it be that is counseling her? Hint: could it be her own state senator husband; and why isn’t that behavior a conflict of interest for her?
Kavanagh says she sees her job as service to the community. Well, that thought may exist in her brain, but it is not supported by her actions of dismissiveness in order to get what she wants.
For me, I will write in a vote for Ginny Dickey.
Ginny has proven to be a team-builder and rational thinker, in order to get jobs done. Ginny has the support of a large cross-section of our town and she will prove to be a strong, capable mayor.
