A contractor for the Fountain Hills Sanitary District is working in Fountain Park at this time.
The contractor is performing routine cleaning and maintenance on two of the district’s Aquifer Storage and Recovery Wells located within the park.
For public safety and security reasons the areas around the well sites are fenced off during the maintenance process.
Work was scheduled to begin on Monday, June 25, and is expected to take through mid-September to complete.
This work is not the beginning of or related to construction of new facilities approved earlier this year.
