The Wednesday, Nov. 19, meeting will held at the Community Center. Doors open at 11:30. The cost is $15 and reservations can be made by calling Dottie Stiles at 480-836-2147 by Nov. 14.

Women's Club planning event

The Fountain Hills Women’s Club is planning some social events in addition to its monthly meetings and fundraising events already on the calendar.

The history of the Yavapai Indian Tribe and its impact on the community is the program.
Dee Bravos, who is a member of the Women’s Club as well as a docent who specializes in group tours at the River of Time Museum, will share with members the background of the Yavapais.
Through the years they have grown to become a vital part of the Fountain Hills community. Bravos will share some of the existing programs as well as plans for the future.
In addition, the club will be presenting the Extended Hands Food Bank a donation of $1,000 and a member of the bank will be outside the door to accept donations of food items for its pantry.
The social committee headed by Pat Ahern and BJ Soehlig have a number of activities planned and will share them with members when the dates are confirmed.
Final plans are in place for the Holiday Tea to be held on Dec. 3 at FireRock Country Club. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at the Nov. 19 meeting or by calling Carol LaForest at 816-8108.
Doors open at 11:30 and in addition to enjoying a special tea the guests will learn how to fold napkins in a number of ways.
Guests are asked to bring a $5 grab bag gift wrapped to share with one another. This event is open to all, so join the group and start the holiday season in a special way.
