Women's Club celebrates year end with banquet, scholarships

Fountain Hills Women’s Club celebrated the awarding of nine scholarships for women who are continuing their studies in their chosen fields.

The awards were presented during the club’s annual scholarship luncheon. Those receiving scholarships include the following:

Amanda Acevedo-Morales hopes to complete her studies to become a school psychologist. Carina Rodriguez has a goal of attaining an Associate in Science degree. Kylee Smith is studying to be a forensic pathologist technician.

Fountain Hills Women’s Club celebrated the awarding of nine scholarships for women who are continuing their studies in their chosen fields.

The awards were presented during the club’s annual scholarship luncheon. Those receiving scholarships include the following:

Amanda Acevedo-Morales hopes to complete her studies to become a school psychologist. Carina Rodriguez has a goal of attaining an Associate in Science degree. Kylee Smith is studying to be a forensic pathologist technician.

Carly Schlum is a U.S. Air Force veteran and wants to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner specializing in pediatrics. Amber Nusall hopes to get a certified degree as an occupational therapy associate. Amanda Rice will start a two-year nursing program in August. Patty Hagerty is studying to be a therapist counselor specializing in grief counseling.

Tanya Belliard hopes to become a registered nurse. Rachael Goodwin hopes to obtain a master’s degree in public administration.

Also present were two Fountain Hills High School students including Paige Despain, who is pursuing a college degree in computer science, and Tessa Mackiewicz, who wants to pursue a paramedics license.

FHWC announced it is proud to have the opportunity to be a part of such deserving and dedicated women.
