Wolborsky: Town Council’s treatment of Skillicorn was excessive
I was sick on March 5 and had to miss the Town Council meeting, but I did go on March 19. I wish I hadn’t.
I have been an expert witness at several murder trials. I have heard the judge berate the accused at sentencing. But I have never heard a judge do that for more than five minutes. Last night three members of the Town Council berated Mr. Skillicorn for over an hour. I heard extreme anger, resentment and pure vengeance expressed in the most extreme manner.
Channel 12 was also there to film the entire embarrassing affair, so that our shame could be seen over the entire area.

If the council wanted to sanction Mr. Skillicorn, they could have done it in five to 10 minutes and done it in a professional manner.
If I had a son who took my new car and wrecked it, and if I had degraded him verbally for over an hour, I would have committed child abuse.
The Fountain Hills Town Council committed adult abuse. This display of tearing down another person that went on and on was very painful to see in person. With Channel 12 there to document this brutal display, the entire area now knows how vengeful, mean and totally unprofessional our Town Council is.
Mr. Skillicorn may have exhibited unprofessional behavior and may have caused some individuals to be uncomfortable, but he was not convicted of murder or any other felony and had he been, the show put on by the council would still be far beyond the bounds of human decency.
You may say that he doesn’t deserve courtesy because he doesn’t show it to others. Even if that is true, the council certainly did him one better on discourteous behavior.
