Winter storms bringing rain

The first wave of rain that passed through the state early this week brought as much as .43 inch of rain to Fountain Hills.

The Maricopa County Flood Control District rain gauge in Hesperus Wash received the .43.

The rain gauge on Golden Eagle Boulevard at the water tank in Eagles Nest received .39 inch. Others at Cloudburst Wash in the McDowell Mountains, along McDowell Mountain Road north of town and at SunRidge Dam all received .31-inch.

The first wave of rain that passed through the state early this week brought as much as .43 inch of rain to Fountain Hills.

The Maricopa County Flood Control District rain gauge in Hesperus Wash received the .43.

The rain gauge on Golden Eagle Boulevard at the water tank in Eagles Nest received .39 inch. Others at Cloudburst Wash in the McDowell Mountains, along McDowell Mountain Road north of town and at SunRidge Dam all received .31-inch.

The weather station at Fountain Park recorded .35-inch overnight Monday.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a series of storms to continue through the week with more rain expected overnight tonight into Wednesday morning.
