Despite the continued volatility in the crude oil market, gas prices dropped 9 cents this week in the Valley according to AAA Arizona.
The current average for a gallon of gas in the Valley is $4.64 a gallon, down from $4.73 a gallon last week. The price still reflects a 99 cents a gallon increase from a year ago at this time.
In Fountain Hills, the cheapest gas can be found at either the Circle K on 17125 E. Shea Blvd. or 9618 N. Saguaro Blvd. at $4.95 a gallon. Trailing behind is the Chevron on 13779 N. Fountain Hills Blvd. at $5.05 a gallon.
